Redding Electric Utility (REU), as a commitment to the promotion of science and math education will host Science Bowl 2005. REU has hosted the Redding Regional competition for the past several years. This year's competition is to be held Saturday, February 4, 2005 on the campus of Simpson College in Redding.
The day consists of tough competition, a lot of fun, and a chance to go to the Nation's Capital. The full day event is conducted by placing student teams with up to five members in head-to-head oral "quiz show" question and answer format type competition. The winning team receives an all expense-paid trip to the National Science Bowl competition in Washington, D.C. The National Science Bowl competition will be held April 28 thru May 2, 2005.
