On Saturday, September 17, 2005, Redding Electric Utility (REU) participated in the Kid's Day America event at Family Chiropractic in Redding.  The purpose of the event was to promote safety awareness for young children.  REU's Safety and Conservation Education Team made presentations to over 200 local children, working with groups of between six and eight, from 10:00 a.m., until 2:00 p.m.  The children were very intent and left with a better understanding of electric safety and conservation.  This was a beneficial event and REU looks forward to participating again next year.
