HOW TO SIGN UP:
- Write VOID on one of your checks.
- Complete the short application form (or fill out the web page enrollment form).
- Mail your application and voided check with this months payment.
- Check your billing statement to verify that your APP service has been started (allow 6-8 weeks).

With Reddings Automatic Payment Plan (APP) you still receive a statement each month, but your payment is taken out of your bank/credit union account automatically. The payment will be deducted on your bill due date or the date you selected. (Allow six to eight weeks for the first deduction).
You will know your Automatic Payment Plan has started when your statement reads, DO NOT PAY. The statement will also indicate the date and the amount that will be deducted from your bank/credit union.

Does the City of Redding Utility Customer Service operation allow customers to pay their utility bill through an electronic funds transfer (EFT)?

Yes! The City of Redding does offer its customers the option of paying their utility bill through electronic funds transfer. Redding's program, the Automatic Payment Plan (APP), was implemented in February 2001 and has been extremely successful. In order to be considered for Redding's APP program, the customer must agree to the terms of the program and sign an authorization agreement, authorizing a monthly funds draft from their checking or savings account for the total monthly bill.
